VA “Lowie”
Hello Lowie! Tell us a little about yourself first.
Hello, I'm Lowie Mariano. I am a licensed ECE (Electronics Communications Engineer) with a passion for bikes (road biking). Every weekend, I bike more than 100 kilometers (Marikina). I work as a Technical Solutions Advisor and am enthusiastic about utilizing technology to solve complex business problems and drive innovation.
What was your profession before you became a VA?
I formerly worked in telecommunications as a Field Support Engineer for DIGITEL. Following that, I was employed as a tech support representative for a BPO company, although my primary responsibilities were in customer service. The switch from Field Support Engineer to BPO was a significant adjustment, and it was difficult to adjust to night shift changes. It was a pleasant change of pace; I became more engaged with my routine and had the opportunity to learn advanced knowledge to help me improve myself.
Transitioning from BPO to VA was a wonderful change. Less traffic, stress, and transportation allowed me to spend more time at home. I was already the senior operations manager for a telecoms business. However, I left that for the advantages of being a VA. I'm delighted that my clients trusted me since it allowed me to learn more about the VA field. I also observe everyday calls and interact with clients to help them. The engagement enabled me to learn everything from the ground up. I was doing interviews, coaching, monitoring, payroll, bookkeeping, and client management. Now I am an operations manager and have never looked back.
How is your IVA PRO Experience?
At IVA, I worked as a technical solutions adviser. IVA allowed me to develop and use my skills and expertise in a variety of fields. I had to collaborate with diverse teams. This considerably aided in helping me streamline the process and improve efficiency. The variety of VA roles provided me with versatility and increased my abilities. It helped me develop a broader business attitude, particularly when dealing with varying clients and sectors. Law companies, hospitals, colleges, and accounting firms are just a few of the businesses with which I have worked. I was also invited to take part in strategic IT consulting, system integration, and cyber security. All of my experiences were unique, challenging, and gratifying. This made me realize the importance of cooperation in any business.
